Battle Tested provides Department of Transportation (DOT) compliant urine drug testing in accordance with 49 CFR Part 40 regulations.

 

These tests are required for safety-sensitive employees regulated by federal agencies, including the FMCSA, FAA, FTA, FRA, PHMSA, and USCG.

All DOT specimens are sent to a SAMHSA-certified laboratory and reviewed by a qualified Medical Review Officer (MRO).

What to Expect During a DOT Drug Screening

  1. ​Identity Verification

    • You must present a valid, government-issued photo ID.

  2. Chain-of-Custody Process

    • A DOT Chain-of-Custody Form (CCF) is completed and reviewed with you before the collection begins.

  3. Urine Specimen Collection

    • The collection will be performed in a secure, private setting following DOT procedures.

    • In certain circumstances, observed collections may be required.

  4. Specimen Sealing & Documentation

    • Your sample is sealed, labeled, and documented in your presence.

  5. Laboratory Testing & Results

    • Specimens are shipped to a certified laboratory.

    • Results are reviewed by an MRO and reported to the designated employer or representative.
